Wood-fired Ceramic

This is my kiln.
Improvised tea ceremony setting for kiln keeper.
When the temperature inside the kiln reaches around 2200F, from the firemouth to kiln chamber to the end of chimney becomes a continual single flame.
Firing of wood kiln. My stoneware is fired to about 2230F.

Bowl: 11" diameter
Aromatherapy Lamp: 6" high
Bowl: 10" diameter
Above: My work and some fragments of Jomon earthnware which I brought from my birth place in Japan are put side by side. You may not be able to tell which is which.
